What Is Escape the Cave?

Two worried miners sitting among collapsed rocks holding lanterns, under the word STUCK.

Escape the Cave is a Roblox mining and escape simulator by WorldLab Studios®. A cave-in traps the miners underground, where breaking through rock and pushing along the tunnel leads toward an unlockable ending.

Sell your mining haul at the cart, improve tools such as pickaxes, drills, dynamite, and a car, and look for gold and precious stones in the rock. The experience combines upgrades, miner classes, different difficulties, and repeat runs to improve your time.

Mining Loop Guide

Break the wall with taps or Hold, sell each haul at the cart, and feed every upgrade into a faster mine–sell–upgrade cycle.

  1. Break rock at the wall

Taps work from the first minute; switch to the Hold toggle in the Tab menu to stop repeated pressing

  2. Grab the glowing ore first

Gold, emeralds, rubies and hidden diamonds pay extra Money per haul

  3. Watch the bag counter

Collecting stops once the cap hits — 25 rocks when you start

  4. Sell at the cart

The sale registers instantly; early hauls pay a few dollars, later 500–600-rock hauls fund far more

Gear Upgrade Order

Seven upgrade lines compared with observed prices — and the budget order that pays off fastest on a fresh save.

View full page
  1. 1

    Bag capacity steps

More rocks per trip; observed steps to 70, then 110 and 160 capacity

  2. 2

    Drill trial, then permanent drill

A $2 rental buys two fast minutes; the permanent drill was cited at $20

  3. 3

Drill Grasp / Cooling / Run Time

Keeps the drill working longer between cooldowns

  4. 4

    Mining cart

A second sell point away from the cart, bought from its vendor

How the Ending Unlocks

No dialogue or item gates it: reach the end of the tunnel, clear the final rocks and squeeze through the gap to the portal.

Step 1

Drill toward the light at the last wall

The ending trigger is positional: the official list ends with 'Reach the end of the tunnel to unlock the ENDING!'

Step 2

Clear the final rock piles

The last obstacle opens into a narrow crawl gap

Step 3

Empty your haul before the gap

You fit through only when you are not carrying a full bag

Step 4

Enter the portal beyond the gap

The portal carries you out and completes the run; a recorded run banked 120 Gems plus a coin bonus

Gems: Earn & Spend

Gems buy the premium side of the game — here are the three ways to fill the wallet and the one naming trap to avoid.

Step 1

Sell your haul at the cart

The repeatable engine — every sold load feeds the wallet that buys premium gear

Step 2

Redeem the CLANS code

Reported to grant 500 Gems as of October 8, 2026

Step 3

Finish an escape

A documented completion paid 120 Gems

Step 4

Know what Gems are not

Gold, emeralds, rubies and hidden diamonds in the rock are haul to sell — they are not the Gems wallet

Co-op With Friends

One run holds you plus up to 3 friends — here is the verified lobby setup and what stays personal in a shared cave.

Gather in the lobby

Step 3

Pick Easy or Hard and confirm

The whole team drops into one shared cave

Step 4

Beat Your Best Time

The lobby tracks your personal record — these are the drill, bag and route levers that reliably shorten the next run.

Know where the record lives

The lobby shows your best time beside lifetime total rocks and total wins

Drill first

Take the cheap two-minute rental for an early burst, then save toward the permanent drill cited at about $20

Keep the drill stats climbing

Cooling, grasp and run time all extend digging between cooldowns

Raise bag capacity

A bigger bag means fewer sell trips per cooldown — observed steps to 110 kept three to four trips per cycle
